Terms of Service

These terms govern the photography services provided by Bilaal Sadeer Wedding Photography ("Photographer", "we", "us") to clients ("Client", "you"). By booking our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation (via WhatsApp, email, or message) and payment of a deposit. Until a deposit is received, your date is not reserved and may be booked by another client. The deposit amount will be agreed at the time of booking.
2. Deposit & Payment
A non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50% of the total fee) is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the shoot date. For bookings made within 14 days of the shoot date, full payment is due at the time of booking. Payments are accepted via bank transfer, PayPal, PeachPayments, or as otherwise agreed.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by the Client:
- More than 30 days before the shoot: deposit forfeited; no further charge
- 15–30 days before the shoot: 50% of total fee due
- Less than 15 days before the shoot: 100% of total fee due
Cancellation by the Photographer: In the unlikely event we must cancel (e.g., medical emergency, force majeure), a full refund of all amounts paid will be provided. We will make every effort to find a suitable replacement photographer.
Rescheduling: One rescheduling per booking is permitted free of charge (subject to availability) if requested more than 14 days before the original date.
4. Copyright & Intellectual Property
All photographs taken during a session remain the intellectual property and copyright of Bilaal Sadeer Photography. The Client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable personal licence to use the delivered images for personal use (printing, sharing with family, personal social media). Commercial use, resale, or reproduction for commercial purposes requires prior written permission.
The Photographer retains the right to use images for portfolio, website, social media, and marketing purposes unless the Client has invoked the privacy option (see Section 8).
5. Delivery
Edited photographs are delivered within 3 working days of the shoot via Google Drive or WeTransfer, unless otherwise agreed in writing. In some cases delivery may begin earlier. The 3-day timeline applies to standard packages. Custom or multi-day weddings may require a longer delivery window agreed in advance.
The Client agrees to download and save their photos within 60 days of delivery. We cannot guarantee long-term cloud storage beyond this period.
6. Photo Editing & Style
Delivered photos will be professionally retouched in the Photographer's signature cinematic style. Basic skin retouching is included. Excessive retouching, body reshaping, or style changes beyond the Photographer's artistic direction are not included and may be quoted separately.
RAW files are not included in any standard package and are not provided.
7. Drone Photography
Drone coverage is included in half-day and full-day packages where permitted by Mauritian Civil Aviation Authority regulations and the relevant venue or property. The Photographer will make every effort to provide drone coverage as planned, but cannot guarantee drone flights where airspace or venue restrictions apply. No refund is offered for drone coverage prevented by external regulations.
8. Privacy Option
Clients may request full privacy: photographs will not be shared publicly, used on the Photographer's website, or posted on social media. This request must be made in writing before or during booking. The privacy option does not affect the quality, scope, or pricing of the photography service.
9. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform obligations due to causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather, civil unrest, government-imposed restrictions, or travel disruptions. In such cases, both parties will work in good faith to reschedule or reach an equitable solution.
10. Liability
The Photographer's liability is limited to the total fee paid by the Client. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or emotional damages. We carry professional indemnity insurance and take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and quality of your images. In the highly unlikely event of equipment failure or data loss, the Photographer's liability is limited to a pro-rata refund of the session fee.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any disputes shall first be sought to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.
